The African Movie Academy Awards

Started 5 years ago in Bayelsa State Nigeria, the AMAAs aim to facilitate the development of the African film industry by providing a rewards and recognition platform for filmmakers on the continent. It is the first organized event of it's kind and is currently sponsored by the United Bank for Africa.

The African Cinema Business Roundtable

The African Cinema Business Roundtable (ACBR) aims to fill a void that currently exists in the industry. As a 3-day conference styled event with special screenings, premiers, master workshops and panel discussions, the ACBR aims to start critical conversations about pertinent issues in the industry, e.g Distribution and Finance, whilst charting a way forward with key stakeholders.
