Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) Winners 2013

The 2013 Africa Movie Academy Awards took place on Saturday at a glittering ceremony in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. The Nigerian film ‘Confusion Na Wa’ emerged champion, winning the prize for Best Film.

Late Justus Esiri was awarded the post-humous trophy for Best Actor in a leading role while Gabriel Afolayan received the Supporting Actor nod.

AMAA 2013 Nominees Ready For Release This Weekend

The race for this year’s Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) will begin in earnest this weekend as Africa is set for the release of nominations ahead of the ceremony which promises to reward hard working filmmakers who have excelled within the last year.

The AMAA screening committees and jury had worked assiduously behind the scenes to see movies that were submitted for consideration.
