Film in a Box

The Africa Film Academy will be running training programmes across Africa this summer called Film in a Box, an all round film training course. The courses are held in Gambia, Johannesburg South Africa and Lagos Nigeria in July 2011. Our Module takes the shape of Team Building and Team Work over a period of 21 days of intensive training.

African Filmmakers crave private sector support at AFA Film Fund Gala

Motion picture practitioners across Africa have called on the organized private sector to support the motion picture if Africa renaissance through cultural export must be achieved.

The filmmakers spoke with one voice during the fund raising dinner for the industry organized by Africa Film Academy on Sunday 17th October at the new Expo Hall of Eko Hotel in Lagos.

The Africa Film Academy invites filmmakers to submit their feature, short, and documentary works for consideration by the 7th African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA or AMAA Awards), the Premier Africa Film Awards®. AMAA is calling for nominations from the public and stakeholders in the film industry for winners in nearly 30 film categories.
